“Energy of the future, leadership of today“
The conference will be organized in two complementary parts. The first part will focus on the future of energy, with particular attention given to the role of hydrogen in the energy transition and to the innovations currently being developed by Creos. This segment will highlight how technological advancements and strategic infrastructure projects are contributing to the development of more resilient and sustainable energy systems.
The second part will adopt a more personal perspective by presenting the professional journey of a woman engineer who has risen to the position of CEO. Through this experience, the conference will address leadership, career development, and the opportunities and challenges faced by women in the engineering and energy sectors, offering an inspiring outlook for the community.
About Laurence Zenner
Laurence Zenner | Group Lead Grids of Encevo S.A. and CEO of Creos Luxembourg S.A.
Laurence Zenner was born in Luxembourg in 1971. She holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Liège, Belgium. She began her professional career in 1995 as a research engineer with a manufacturer of metal halls and joined the CFL Group in 1999, where she held various positions within the infrastructure management department of CFL before taking up the position of Secretary General from 2014 to 2017 and Quality Manager from 2016 to 2017 for the CFL Group. Since 2018 she had been CEO of CFL Cargo.
From 2008 to 2017, she also assumed the position of Associate Teacher at the Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Communication at the University of Luxembourg. Laurence Zenner joined the electricity and gas network operator Creos Luxembourg S.A. on 1 July 2023 and was appointed CEO and member of the Board of Directors. She has also been a member of the Executive Board of Encevo S.A. since that date.
With effect from 1 January 2025, Laurence Zenner has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).
