Charter of the Admission Committee of Women in Business Luxembourg

Preamble

The admission committee of Women in Business Luxembourg is tasked with ensuring that the applications received meet the admission criteria defined by the association. This charter aims to guide the committee members in evaluating and validating applications to maintain consistency with the association’s mission and values.

Article 1: Mission of the Association

Women in Business Luxembourg aims to bring together women from the business world in Luxembourg by developing and encouraging opportunities that promote networking among women from all sectors, at all stages of their careers, whether they are CEOs, executives, small business owners or managers.

Article 2: Admission Criteria

Professional Profile

The candidate must be an active woman in the business world in Luxembourg.

She must hold a position of responsibility, a “C-Level” position, or be an entrepreneur.

Candidates must be involved in fields such as commerce, finance, management, or any other area of business management.

Employees of sponsors are selected by the sponsor and not by the admission committee.

Alignment with the Mission

The candidate must demonstrate an interest in professional and personal development within a women’s network.

She must commit to actively contributing to the association’s activities.

Commitment and Motivation

The candidate must express a clear willingness to participate in the events and initiatives organized by the association.

She must adhere to the association’s values, particularly in terms of collaboration and mutual support.

The committee reserves the right to refuse a candidate without providing a reason.

Sponsorship

Each candidate must be proposed by a sponsor who is already a member of the association. The sponsor plays a supportive and recommending role for the candidate.

The support of the sponsor is an element of the application but does not have a decisive value for acceptance into the association. The final decision rests exclusively with the admission committee.

Exclusions

The following individuals are excluded from membership:

All professions that do not fall under business management.

Anyone using the network for direct commercial purposes, including the promotion of products or services.

The committee also ensures that the member community represents the economic sectors of Luxembourg and reserves the right to refuse a candidate if her sector is already over-represented by active members.

Article 3: Selection Process

Review of Applications

All applications received will be reviewed by the admission committee, composed of members designated by the association’s executive board.

The committee will evaluate applications based on the criteria established in this charter.

Interview (if necessary)

If the committee deems it relevant, an interview with the candidate may be organized to better understand her motivations and ability to integrate into the association.

Decision

After review, the admission committee will make a decision by consensus or by majority vote.

The decision will be communicated to the candidate by email within two weeks after the committee meeting.

Committee Meeting

The admission committee meets quarterly to review applications and discuss other admission-related matters.

The admission committee regularly reports to the board of directors.

Appeal

In case of rejection of the application, the candidate has the right to request a review of her application. This request will be examined by the board of directors.

Article 4: Confidentiality

All discussions and documents related to applications are confidential and must not be disclosed to individuals outside the admission committee.

Article 5: Revision of the Charter

This charter will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains aligned with the association’s mission and objectives.
